Bears

I love bears and was lucky enough to go and see the Polar bears in Canada, something I will never forget. i keep logging onto http://www.bear.org. This is a follow up to a BBC programe and there is a web cam and recorder in Lily, the bear's den. I love it and hope to see them one day. I can dream!

Glad weather getting better and can start riding again. Bad bones and replacement hip so I now ride in good weather.

Oh need to check this out - we saw some smashing bears when we were in Canada. One sow with a cub meandering around below us on the B&B's Balcony. Also saw a Grizzly when going through Banff National park - fortunatley he was behind the fence!!!

My English class are doing leaflets and talks on Polar Bears at the moment - one group made a paper strip measurement to show the rest of the class just how big a male polar bear is and it was quite frightening!! They look very appealing in photos but not sure I'd like to meet one close up.
Mercedes, the only Polar Bear in captivity in the UK, is now at the Highland Wildlife Park and had a ball in all the snow!
