Some healing vibes for Phoebe-dog please

Poor Phoebe has damaged her tendon in her shoulder jumping out of the lorry and is lame :(

She is on Metacam (second course) and on extremely limited exercise so I have to lift her (all 35kg) out of the back of the landrover, she is on lead walking only and shock horror can't go upstairs. How can I say no to this face?

Well, I have to I guess. So no more of this for a while....(yes, I now I shouldn't anyway but....)

Hopefully she will feel better soon and won't be too upset by her excile downstairs.

Poor Phoebe, the only way to cope with such an appealing face is to wear your sunglasses! Or you could buy her a Stanna Stair Lift!!!!!!
I have no problems with pets sharing folks beds so long as pet is not dominant to person. The best I have met is a couple who bought a house where the cat was part of the fixtures & fittings. They were not cat folk but within a year they had to buy a king size double bed so the cat could share their bed in comfort!!!!
Get better quickly Phoebe.

:goodvibes: Obviously she will need a hot water bottle, and a new blanket, a new bed and even a car ramp to help her out!

Poor Phoebe, one of our neighbours has very steep stairs and when his greyhound got dodgy on his legs he used the stair lift successfully!!!! Might be easier if you got the bed moved downstairs or one of those temporary beds.

OK - call me a mean mummy but I am NOT buying the dog a stair-lift!!!!!!

She was fine in the end. She has her own bed downstairs anyway so was all snuggly with a blanket and then she got up in the middle of the night, turfed all the cushions off the sofa and slept on there (on top of my laptop which cannot have been comfy!). hmmmm will have to sort that one out. I can't stick the sofa in the washing machine!

Get well soon Phoebe!
We have a running battle with one dog about sleeping in the bed - he gets off with it if OH's feet are cold!

Thank you everyone :hug2:

Susie - yes she really is a gentle soul and at nearly 13 getting on a bit for a lurcher so she is extra precious to me.

Phoebe says "thank you for your kind thoughts - mummy has read them out to me. They made me wag! The metacam is making me feel a lot better and I get extra-scrummy food with it because apparantly it doesn't taste very nice (surely it can't be worse than frogs - they are yucky) but mean Mummy still won't let me go upstairs or jump out of the car or rush about playing ball-y which is my favourite. But she says we can play lots when I am all mended".
