Riding club camp - a (blurred!) photofest!
Iona and I went to riding club camp on Saturday at the Unicorn Trust at Stow on the Wold. We had a fantastic time doing flat work and jumping. Just
to prove I left the ground here are some pics!
The venue was immaculate but Iona thought it was designed for bigger people!

I was quite nervous as I hadn't jumped anything since last October due to the ice, snow etc. However I wasn't the only one so we had a few in my
nervous nelly jumping group! I kitted myself up in the body protector and got set to go, Iona was quite interested in what was going on (as you can
see she had thoroughly tested the surface to see if it was edible)

We started with some pole work

And then progressed to doing some striding (yes, one of the other groups was jumping that huge gate in the background )

Then some teeny tiny jumps (I was surprised how small they were - they looked much bigger from on top!)

And a sneek preview of the planks

We finished jumping them all as a course and I left feeling ready to do much more next time. Big thank you to VWH riding club and to super-instructor
Sophie.

What a great set of photos. Well done to you both. Looks like Iona looked after you just fine!
(Know what you mean about even the tiny cross pole jumps looking big from the saddle!....trouble is they ARE big if pony jumps them from too far
out!!)
